I'm a reptile and amphibian hobbyist. My primary interest is in
geckos and salamanders. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I have
scaled back (no pun intended) my reptilian endeavors. I still have a
handful of animals but I have not placed them in any active breeding
programs.
In the past I've been successful in breeding crested geckos, gargoyle
geckos, leopard geckos, Africa fat-tailed geckos, gold-dust day
geckos, and Australian velvet geckos.
I've been an active member of the
Edmonton Reptile and
Amphibian Society for many years, I served one year as vice
president, and plan to continue supporting this valuable organization.
There's a good chance you'll see me if you attend the monthly
meetings.
Geckos
Here's a list of some of the gecko species I keep. In the past few
years I've been slowly reducing the size of my collection and have
reduced my gecko breeding efforts.
Snakes
I have a few sand boas, they're my first snakes. When it comes to
sand boas I found the following on-line information helpful:
Frogs
- Vietnamese mossy frogs (Theloderma corticale)
I still have a few of my geckos paired up so I may get the odd
hatchling. This would include Gargoyles and Australian velvet geckos.
I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and can be reached via email at allan@gotgeckos.com.
There's a good chance you can find me at the spring and fall shows put
on by the Edmonton Reptile
and Amphibian Society (ERAS). For the two-day Edmonton shows I
usually help out on the Saturday and display animals on Sunday.
