Madagascar Day Gecko (Phelsuma madagascarensis madagascarensis)

Chew Toy may not be the nicest name for this gecko but I thought it fit since the previous owner had placed him in the same enclosure with a large male grandis day gecko. Chew Toy has healed nicely but he still has some obvious scars.

I have yet to see a female Phelsuma madagascarensis madagascarensis in Canada although you do come across the odd standingi or grandis. The few american hobbyists I've been in touch with that work with this species (Pmm) are in no position to export them to Canada due to the pain and cost associated with the necessary CITES paperwork.

So if you know of where I can find a female Phelsuma madagascarensis madagascarensis in Canada be sure to get in touch.
